Opportunities are available to assist in the behind the scenes operations of preparing for Mass. The main responsibility of a sacristan is to keep the sacristy in order. This ministry is very important and includes the following: setting all liturgical books, making sure the vestments are set up for use, as well as making sure all liturgical accessories are fully stocked and ready for use. Sacristans are also responsible for ensuring that all liturgical items are properly stored away after each weekend Mass.
