Confirmation

The sacrament of Confirmation is the final of the three sacraments of Initiation. Confirmation perfects the graces received at Baptism, empowering us to be followers of the Lord and co-workers for the kingdom. Confirmation is much more than a rite of passage, but rather a strengthening of the gifts of the Holy Spirit to unite us more firmly to Christ and to strengthen our bond with the Church. Sacramental preparation is a two-year program during 9th and 10th grades, with the rite of Confirmation in the spring of the 2nd year. Please contact Olivia Dvorjak for more information. Registration required.

First Reconciliation & First Communion

Preparation for the sacraments of Reconciliation and the Eucharist may be received by second grade students either by attending Saint James Catholic School OR by attending Family Faith Formation (FFF), our parish religious education program. Students who do NOT attend Saint James Catholic School, and wish to prepare for the Sacraments, should register for Family Faith Formation (FFF).

Matrimony

The sacrament of matrimony is a union between a man and a woman who are interested in building a covenant of love within the teachings of the Catholic Church.  Archdiocesan policy requires a six-month preparation period for the sacrament of Matrimony.  Couples who are interested in celebrating their marriage at Saint James Catholic Church must be a parishioner or related to a parishioner and must contact Fabiola Sanchez at least six months before the anticipated wedding date.
